The Down Syndrome Association of Jacksonville is here to offer support and guidance as you begin this journey. Our goal is to provide information and encouragement so families can embrace hope for a bright future.
Down syndrome is a genetic condition caused by an extra copy of the 21st chromosome, also known as Trisomy 21. It occurs in approximately 1 in every 792 births and affects people of all races and economic backgrounds.
Our New Parent resources help families understand the diagnosis, access therapies, and connect with a supportive community.
